Tinder CEO Faye Iosotaluno Steps Down in July; Match Group CEO to Take Over

Faye Iosotaluno, the Chief Executive Officer of Tinder, has announced that she will be stepping down from her position in July. According to her LinkedIn post, Iosotaluno’s departure marks the end of her nearly two-year tenure as CEO and eight years overall with the company, which is owned by Match Group.

In her announcement, Iosotaluno expressed pride in her team and reflected on her future aspirations. “The consumer tech landscape is evolving in exciting, unpredictable ways — and so are my own ambitions,” she wrote. She indicated a desire to support and build alongside the next generation of women leaders, founders, and investors, drawing from her experiences at Tinder where diverse voices led to better decisions.

Match Group CEO Spencer Rascoff will step in to lead the Tinder team, according to his separate post. Rascoff expressed gratitude for Iosotaluno’s collaboration during the transition period and conveyed his enthusiasm for continuing the momentum with the existing leadership team.

The leadership change occurs as Match Group seeks strategies to revitalize Tinder’s growth, as Bloomberg reported. Earlier in May, Match Group implemented a 13% staff reduction to streamline operations and cut costs, with a portion of these cuts affecting Tinder.

Iosotaluno’s departure signals a pivotal moment for Tinder, coinciding with broader efforts by Match Group to optimize performance and adapt to the evolving dynamics of the dating app market.
