Endor Labs Secures $93M to Fortify AI-Generated Code Against Vulnerabilities
Endor Labs, a pioneering startup focused on securing the software supply chain, has successfully raised $93 million to expand its capabilities in scanning AI-generated code for vulnerabilities. The funding round, announced on April 23, 2025, highlights the growing concern over the security implications of AI-driven code development.
The investment will enable Endor Labs to refine its tools, which are designed to identify and mitigate potential weaknesses introduced during the AI code generation process. As AI becomes more integrated into software development lifecycles, the need for specialized security measures has become increasingly critical.
Varun Badhwar, CEO and co-founder of Endor Labs, emphasized the importance of securing AI-generated code, stating, “AI is revolutionizing software development, but it also introduces new attack vectors. Our platform provides the necessary safeguards to ensure that AI-generated code is robust and secure.”
Endor Labs’ technology analyzes code produced by AI models, looking for common vulnerabilities such as injection flaws, authentication issues, and data leakage points. This proactive approach helps development teams address security concerns before deployment, minimizing the risk of exploitation.
The funding round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from notable investors including Khosla Ventures and Dell Technologies Capital. Ravi Mhatre, a partner at Lightspeed, commented, “Endor Labs is at the forefront of securing the next generation of software. Their innovative approach to AI code security is essential as the industry increasingly relies on AI for development.”
The company plans to use the funds to expand its research and development efforts, enhance its platform’s capabilities, and grow its customer base. With the increasing adoption of AI in coding, Endor Labs is positioned to become a key player in the cybersecurity landscape.
